The BSE Power Index usually includes 10 companies, (13 at present), selected based on their market capitalisation, liquidity, and relevance to the power sector. The index is reviewed and rebalanced twice each year to ensure it accurately represents the leading companies in the power industry such as National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd. (NTPC)., Power Grid Corporation Of India Ltd., Tata Power Co. Ltd., Siemens Ltd., and Adani Green Energy Ltd. Stock weights are determined by free-float market capitalisation, providing a balanced representation of the sector's performance.
