The BSE Telecommunication Index usually includes 15 companies, (17 at present), selected based on their market capitalisation, liquidity, and relevance to the telecommunication sector. The top 10 companies in the index make up about 95% of the total weightage of the index. The BSE Telecommunication index is reviewed and rebalanced every six months to ensure it accurately represents the leading companies in the industry. Stock weights are determined by free-float market capitalisation, providing a balanced representation of the sector's performance. Leading names included are Bharti Airtel Ltd., Vodafone Idea Ltd., Indus Towers Ltd., Tata Communications Ltd., and Tejas Networks Ltd.
