Today, in this video, we will talk about the MTF Ledger.
This ledger reflects all transactions carried out under Pay Later, i.e., MTF. To view your MTF Ledger on m.Stock, log in to the app, go to the Menu, then under Reports, tap on MTF Ledger.
On m.Stock, you can view your MTF Ledger for the past one week, one month, or three months. Using the Custom option, you can also select dates as per your requirement and view the MTF Ledger for a specific period.
At the top of the MTF Ledger, you will see a summary where you can view your funding value.
Below that, all MTF transaction entries are displayed. The first column shows the date on which the account was debited or credited.
The next column is the amount. If the amount is shown in green, it means funds have been credited from the Normal Ledger to the MTF Ledger. If the amount is shown in red, it means funds have been debited from the MTF Ledger.
There can be three main reasons for such debits:
You have taken a new Pay Later or MTF position.
MTF interest charges have been applied.
Funds have been transferred from the MTF Ledger to the Normal Ledger.
The last column displays the transaction-wise balance. A description is also provided below each entry.
Let us now understand some common MTF Ledger entries.
MTF Margin Amount Received from Normal Ledger to MTF Ledger
This entry appears in two scenarios:
When you take a new MTF position.
When the available margin is lower than the required margin to maintain an existing MTF position.
MTF Margin Surplus Amount Transferred from MTF Ledger to Normal Ledger
After closing an MTF position, if the margin available in your MTF Ledger exceeds the required margin, the excess amount is transferred from the MTF Ledger to the Normal Ledger.
Transaction for MTF
This entry indicates that you have taken a new MTF position.
MTF Interest Payment Charges
This entry shows the amount of interest charged on your MTF position for that day. The interest rate depends on your funding amount.
Closing of MTF Transaction
This entry appears when you close an MTF position. The amount shown includes your blocked capital, the funding provided by m.Stock, and any profit or loss generated from that MTF trade.
