Nifty Midcap Select

The Nifty Midcap Select Index is a specialised index that includes a carefully curated selection of mid-sized companies listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India. These companies are chosen based on their market capitalisation, liquidity, and trading activity. Investing in the Nifty Midcap Select Index provides exposure to mid-cap stocks that exhibit potential for growth and performance, beyond those included in broader market indices. This index serves as a benchmark for tracking the performance of promising mid-cap companies in the Indian equity market.

In this index, a total of 25 companies are selected based on their market capitalisation and representation within the mid-cap segment. Each constituent's weightage is determined by its free float market capitalisation, providing investors with a focused view of the mid-cap segment's performance in India. The index is reviewed semi-annually to ensure it reflects current market dynamics and company performance effectively. Companies that no longer fit the criterion may be removed from the list and replaced by other companies who are deemed worthy. The Nifty Midcap Select Index comprises prominent mid-cap companies such as HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd., Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL), Persistent Systems Ltd., Vodafone Idea Ltd., etc.
